LUMATRIANS A BASIC KNOWLEDGE

The word Gontrada (pronounced GONE-TRAY-DA) translates from the Lumatrian language to mean mother. The Gontrada are referred to as pack mothers outside of the Lumatrian society. It is considered a crime within Lumatrian society to harm a Gontrada of another tribe even more so if you kill them.

Gontrada are the in general quite gentle and kind they are passive in their actions as long as their mate or children are not threatened. Gontrada are easily distinguished from the other breeds of Lumatrian by their slender physic and general size. Gontrada are the largest of lumatrians ranging in height from nine feet tall to ten feet six inches tall.

Though Gontrada are generally passive and gentle their magic is not. When they have reason to use it their innate magical power they can release the might of a hurricane and the destructive force of a volcanic eruption. Gontrada are powerful magic users having little to do in their spare time but learn new uses for their magic. Gontrada generally mark their ranking based on age and spells known.
