LUMATRIANS A BASIC KNOWLEDGE

 

Lumatrians in general are primarily omnivores but there is a special requirement to their diet. Though throughout the year they survive on fruits vegetables and wild game there is something that they must consume to maintain their minds. This special dietary requirement is a peculiar bit because it is actually other living furs. It’s not so much the meat of the furs that they require but the energy contained within their souls that stabilizes the wild magic that runs through their blood. If they go without consuming a living fur for a long period time they eventually lose themselves within their own minds trapped there for the rest of their lives. Leaving their living body no better than a common animal. Though they may need to consume a living fur this does not necessarily mean permanent death for the fur that is eaten. Because of their magical nature they can reform any living meal they have consumed and some of the older Lumatrians can even resurrect and reform furs that have died to make meals.

This requirement does not necisarily have to come from a living fur if a Lumatrian can get access to a Soul Oak. A Soul Oak is a special kind of oak tree that bears a special fruit. The fruit of a Soul Oak are called Lanastyx. A Lanastyx carries enough pure soul enrgy in its flesh that any Lumatrian need only consume one a year. All Soul Oaks are conected wit thir parent treee the Tree Of Soul. The Tree Of Souls was the first Soul Oak to ever exist and all Lumatrians have tied their inate agic into the tree. As long as the Tree Of Souls survives so do the Lumatrans and as long as there are Lumatrians the Tree Of Souls will survive.
